Saving Memories Forever – A Must for all Memory Keepers!

As the mom of four children, I know a thing or two about trying to make – and preserve – memories! Back when I had three little ones within 20 months, I never thought the days would go by so fast. Now, my oldest two children are away at college, my third has been accepted at his college of choice and my youngest is almost in high school.

I think I did a pretty good job of sharing our family history with my children, because they continue to be curious about their roots and where they come from. While we’re blessed to have great relationships with loving grandparents that live close by, we know that nothing lasts forever and now is the time to learn as much as we can from our relatives.  Recently, I’ve discovered a new option called Saving Memories Forever that makes the task of telling (and re-telling) our family’s history even easier.

Saving Memories

Whether you are creating your family history or recording your children’s milestones, this service is easy, mobile and fun. A free iPhone or Android app makes the recording and uploading process incredibly easy and convenient. I had the opportunity to interview Jane, co-creator of Saving Memories Forever, on Mom Talk Radio and I was so moved by her passion to make sure that each family has an easy way to record and share their unique moments.

Key features of this service allow you to record your family stories…one story at a time. The stories themselves give a voice to generations and a rich picture of what a relative was like. Although it’s up to you who tells the stories, I think it’s amazing to have it come directly from the person who lived them! I know that long after cherished relatives are gone, the recordings I have of them will be invaluable to me. Saving Memories Forever is a subscription service at only $40 a year (or $3.99 per month) and allows you to attach everything from photos to recipes.

I love this idea for capturing priceless stories that make up a family’s history. And because memories are meant to be shared, the team at Saving Memories Forever has allowed me to host a giveaway. I have three (3) one-year premium subscriptions ($40 value) up for grabs for lucky readers! To enter, simply leave a comment on this post and share the relative whose stories you’d most like to preserve. I know that I wish that Saving Memories Forever was around to capture some of my Grandma Aligood’s words of wisdom! Luckily, I’ve committed them to memory and now I’m recording them to share with my kids on Saving Memories Forever!

Using the tools provided by Savings Memories Forever makes creating your legacy of family stories easy and fun. Check it out at http://SavingMemoriesForever.com and start preserving your family’s memories today. Winners will be chosen at random and notified via email (if provided) on or around February 15th, 2013.

  1. What a super idea. Would love to preserve Grandma’s stories from childhood and immigration from Priverno Italy to America.

  2. I would have loved to have gotten thoughts on life and details of his deployment from my brother, Sgt. Marcus Mathes, before he was killed in Iraq in 2008.
This is such an amazing idea!
