A Weekend Worth Mentioning

I’ve often said that the best part of my career is the people I meet every single day. This weekend confirmed again that I love my work because of the friends I make along the way. I spent two days at Walt Disney World, www.disney.com with ten wonderful African American Mom Bloggers:
Jennifer James of www.themomsalon.com
Felicia Battle of http://reignofthegirlchild.blogspot.com
Kimberly Coleman of http://mominthcity.com
Kristina Brooke of Mom on the Rise, http://www.kristinabrooke.org
Melanie Sheridan of Mel, A Dramatic Mommy, http://lacostamom.blogspot.com
Michele Dortch of The Integrated Mother- http://www.integratedmother.com/blog
Nadia Jones of Mama Law- www.mamalaw.blogspot.com,
Tanyetta McKoy of Days Like These, http://ww.tanyetta.com
Yolanda Harris of Ebony Mommy, www.ebonymommy.com/blog

To know these women is to understand why I’m literally exhausted this evening. Tanyetta has more energy than the battery bunny, Kristina’s laughter is contagious and Kimberly can engage a person in conversations that get the brain thinking outside the box. I intend to write more about the weekend once my brainpower returns.

I want to thank each of these fine women for allowing me the chance to get to know them. I feel lucky to have ten new friends.
